The West Irving Library is holding a special art project for tweens and teens. Partcipants will be carving a unique design into linoleum and then using ink to add it to fabric. Once again this event is for teenagers in grades 6-12.

Dallas: DART Public Meeting - Topic: Proposed 2026 Service & Fare Changes

The DART Board of Directors meetings convene at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month, unless specified differently on the calendar. Standing Committee meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month. *July, November, and December have one meeting date only. Meeting dates are subject to change.

Main St. City Council meetings are open to the public and citizen input is welcome. Citizens may speak at Council meetings on any agenda item and may also speak regarding items not listed on the agenda during "Citizen Comments" by completing and submitting a speaker card. Comments are limited to 3 minutes.

DeSoto: Critters on Canvas

Kids and families—don’t miss this unique, hands-on art experience! Join us on July 9th at 2:00 PM to get creative with a hedgehog as your animal model. During this 30-minute program, guests will meet an exciting animal that loves to model, learn fun facts, and create their own artwork with all supplies provided. Afterward, you’ll have the chance to take a photo with the animal and your finished masterpiece! Preregistration is required and spots will fill quickly

Lancaster: Zuri & Friends Book Club

This summer, Zuri is doing something super special for all her book-loving (or soon-to-be book-loving) friends in Lancaster and nearby cities. She started her very own Zuri & Friends Book Club! She has teamed up with the local library to host an exciting July Series just for kids in 2nd–5th grade! Participants will be reading “Brand New School, Brave New Ruby” by the amazing @authorderrickdbarnes because YES to Black authors and characters!
If you like stories, snacks, and meeting cool new friends—you gotta join!!
