Motorcycle rider dies following wreck

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred on Thursday, April 25.

Officers responded to a vehicle collision in the 2200 block of Sara Jane Parkway at approximately 4 p.m. A motorcycle traveling south on Sara Jane lost control, veering into the oncoming northbound lanes, and collided with a Ford pickup truck. The motorcycle operator was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

The driver of the truck was not injured and no charges are expected.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified. This collision remains under investigation.
